Choosing B&B Plitvice Holiday Lodge was largely a matter of chance. From the very start, the exceptionally warm welcome from Lily pleasantly surprised us. The next positive surprise came when we entered the room. The atmosphere, décor, and quality of finish were all top-notch. I regret that this time we didn’t have the opportunity to try the hotel’s mini spa, but we promised ourselves that next time we would make sure to do so. The guesthouse’s garden, its facilities, and the attention to the smallest details made it an absolute pleasure to spend the evening there. Since we had a long drive ahead of us the next day, we asked Lily if it might be possible to have breakfast an hour earlier than scheduled. Of course, this was no problem at all. We expected something modest prepared just for us. But when we walked into the dining room in the morning, we found that we had access to the full breakfast spread the guesthouse normally serves — simply one hour earlier, just as we had asked. The omelets, homemade jams, and banana bread were delicious! This is a top-class guesthouse, and Lily is what makes it truly exceptional. I’ve never before found myself hugging a manager goodbye when leaving a hotel 😊. We will definitely plan every future trip to this region in such a way that we can spend at least one night at B&B Plitvice Holiday Lodge.

We loved the gadgets in this property getaway and the hosts, Visnja & Davorin ensured all guests have an exceptional stay. Rooms were spacious and clean with en-suite bathroom. My favorite part was coming back from a full day at Plitvice Lakes to a soak in the hot tub/jacuzzi over some jazz music and Posip and admiring the views (there’s a sauna too!). The 4-course dinners were another highlight. My tummy was very thankful for the salad bar, and the desserts were phenomenal - all cooked and served by our hosts. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Pool, whirlpool and sauna are guest disposal for free. Loved it. Great location only 7 min from the park. The pool and hot tub and sauna are a nice touch. The restaurant is good and has a nice breakfast buffet. The owner is very kind and helpful and she gave us great park advice that I didn’t find elsewhere- start at entrance 2 to go DOWN the mountain vs starting at entrance 1 and spend the day going up the mountain. Traveling w little kids I was very grateful to have that tip.

Villa Mukinja - Wellness & Spa is located on a quiet and peaceful spot in the centre of Plitvice Lakes National Park, a 10-minute walk from the lakes. If you want a holiday away from the big hotel chains, in an intimate, peaceful place run by a local family - you couldn't have come to a better place. 6 rooms, well-kept and quiet garden, soothing music. Sauna, outdoor jacuzzi. A home-like atmosphere with its character, not a soulless flat prepared strictly for tourists. Neighbourhood consisting of several, maybe a dozen villas. Approximately 20 minutes on foot, along a forest road, to the Plitvice Lakes. Above all, however, a warm, three-generation family who, on the one hand, in a completely unobtrusive way ensures that guests do not lack anything, but on the other hand, coexists in this house, along with the joy of children playing ball or looking after a tiny kitten. It was great. And when we arrived at the next definitely poor accommodation of our Croatian holiday, I understood the uniqueness of Villa Mukinja even more.
