Just 10 minutes' drive from Borobudur Temple, Villa Borobudur Resort offers traditional Indonesian accommodation with free WiFi. Relaxing massage can be enjoyed by the outdoor pool or at the spa. An amazing place with a stunning view. A quiet location on the hill combined with delicious food and intimate pools was a great experience. The room was clean, with air conditioning, very friendly staff, and a free shuttle to Borobudur Temple.

This charming resort sits atop Tanjungan Village’s hills in Central Java, 1 km from Borobudur Temple. The hotel is directly across the valley from the temple. It’s a shame the temple’s floodlighting is poor (and not every night) but when the mist forms it’s unparalleled. The gardens are beautiful, the room delightful, The bed is comfortable, the bathroom huge. The pool villas are excellent. The staff could not have done more, especially for the nine year old in our party. The food was good though some more choice would be welcome. It’s on a hill but the buggies come quickly via the WhatsApp group.

Our little villa was gorgeous, the restaurant right on the river was a real treat, and the generosity and kindness of all the staff there was exceptional! (They looked after us with such care since we arrived from Bali with upset stomachs) Jooste and his wife became friends in a very short time and we know we will see them again!
