In Athenry, east of Galway, the friendly Raheen Woods Hotel serves good food and has leisure facilities for kids and adults, including a swimming pool, gym and hot tub. Nice and roomy stay. I loved the bin for decomposable foods and items. Lighting is good. Comfortable bed. Bathroom decent size. Very nice staff and I recommend the restaurant which had delicious food and a large menu. The location is lovely near the woods as the name says.

The Galmont Hotel & Spa overlooks Galway Bay and is just 200 metres from Eyre Square. It has an award-winning restaurant, Spirit One Spa and Energize fitness and leisure. The hotel was very nice, from the lobby to the rooms. Very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great, and the location was good. A short walk to the main part of town.

They were all.just so lovely and the hotel itself truly amazing! The bed was the most comfortable we have had on our 6 weeks of travelling Europe, the room so spacious.
