The property is non-smoking and is set 6.2 km from Athlone Institute of Technology. Loved the facility. Breakfast was wonderful, but overall, the food could be better.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town centre. After a long day of traveling, it was wonderful to stop and stay the night here. Our room was well kept and the hotel was only a short walk to the town center.

We only stayed for one night, but the rooms were big, comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu is available in the Bonnie's Restaurant.. The Lakeside Bar has a bar menu, excellent Guinness.
Guests have free use of the well-equipped Power Gym, sauna and steam room. . For countryside walks, the Portlick Forest is nearby.
Decor, staff and location were fabulous. Such a great hotel and an experience I would recommend anyone to try. Also you can bring your doggie which was lovely

Lovely rooms great breakfasts nice pool sauna steam and jacuzzi gym looked good but didn't use. Staff wonderful so friendly and helpful. Can't recomend this hotel enough. Excellent for a relaxing comfortable break.

Amazing overnight stay at Wineport Lodge for my wife's birthday. Such a unique venue and staff so friendly and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing break. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommend the hot tub as well, whatever the weather!

Very comfortable, spacious rooms. Although it is a big hotel it feels relaxed. Breakfast is fine. A 10 minutes walk to the centre of Athlone.

Location Location Location From the reception staff, to bar staff they were amzing and so friendly. Room was huge, with the view of the lake. So relaxing. We went to the hot tubs where we met the fab Rian, we went to the spa and the outdoor pool. Food was excellent, and breakfast each moring was just as good. We will be back for sure!

The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub were brilliant & water pressure in the room was a fantastic, very relaxing shower. Breakfast was very enjoyable, especially watching nature outside around the property birds etc. Staff were really nice on the front desk and at Breakfast. Unfortunately I can't remember their specific names to mention them.

Service excellent. Quiet & relaxing location away from the bustle. Had the hot tub experience & enjoyed chilling. Room was lovely looking over the lake & we had breakfast to the room which was lovely looking out at the view. Nice cosy hotel.

Breakfast was very good. We had dinner in the main Restaurant on Saturday evening. It was very nice. Food was very good. The wine tasting on Saturday evening ( its also on a Wednesday ) was very good and a nice bonus ( as it's free to guests ). Very informative. Some of us went to the Spa. This was also a good experience. I had the head , shoulders and back ( Swedish ) massage. It felt really good afterwards. There was entertainment in the Bar on both Saturday and Sunday evening. Good listening. We all enjoyed it.
