LaAquila has been rebuilt/renovated since the 2009 earthquake that left it crippled so all buildings look new. The centered opened for tourism again only during COVID so the foreign tourists have not yet discovered it. We were there for 4 days and did not hear any language other than Italian- which is nice- as we really felt like tourists. The complex of rooms is run by Fabiana and her husband and they do a beautiful job of making you feel at home. Everything is new and works. Breakfast was served to us in our flat kitchen (we had a flat with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen plus another double room ensuite) and was adequate. The building itself is an 18th century renovated building with a lot of personality. Location is excellent- two minutes walk from the main street of the old city.

Set in a tranquil location in the Gran Sasso National Park, Hotel Nido dell'Aquila offers mountain-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor swimming pool and restaurant. Great staff. Even though the kitchen was closed they threw something together for us.

The place is beautifully designed, elegantly furnished, and exceptionally clean. Everything we needed was provided, which made our stay very comfortable. Mr. Federico and his family were wonderful hosts – ready to help and making sure that we had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the personal attention and the warm atmosphere they created during our stay. We would gladly recommend these apartments to anyone visiting the area and would be more than happy to come back again in the future. Thank you once more for the excellent service.

Set in the Gran Sasso National Park, Hotel Fiordigigli is surrounded by the mountains and it offers free Wi-Fi throughout. Didn’t realize breakfast was included. It was very good.
