Location, friendly helpful staff in small quaint town. The swimming pool was perfect for a dip after long day of touring. Loved all the rose bushes and jasmine flowers. Had my best Campari Spritz there on balcony after a week of travel thru Italy! Parking was bonus. Great breakfast with a spectaculiar view.

A former 16th-century farmhouse surrounded by vineyards, Locanda Le Piazze is now a small, luxurious, boutique hotel 6 km from Castellina in Chianti. After a two week trip in Italy, I can definitely say that this is the most amazing and incredible place I have been in. The location is absolutely beautiful, we were in awe of the view and of the actual hotel. But best of all was the staff, so helpful and warm they absolutely made our stay. Wish we could stay longer, it was paradise.
