Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, Spa Hotel Alpina offers a spa and open-air hot-spring baths with scenic views. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The staff are very professional and kind, beds were huge and the room was very big with new furniture. There are 2 smoking spaces inside the hotel and the onsen is awesome, open till 1 am. The location is great, near everything in Takayama, 4 minutes from station. We really enjoyed staying there.

The best location ever - next to JR station and Nohi Bus Station. Imagine you can reach your room immediately after getting off the train or bus journey. It is only 10 mins walk from the Old Town. A new hotel that exceeded my expectation. Very clean & comfortable. Do try the dinner buffer set; it is so worth it and delectable. There is a private bath option too which is payable (rather affordable) and it is a first-come-first-serve basis. I would highly recommend to all to stay here.
