The hotel itself feels new and modern. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection with quality products. Onsen facilities were also very good with 3 baths and sauna. Good laundry facilities. The room itself while it was small had all the needed amenities. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel can be reached completely underground from JR train station. Also the location is much quieter than Susukino for example, but within walking distance of the needed subway stops and other things. There is also 7 eleven in the same building as a hotel and can be reached directly from the lobby.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and could communicate in basic English. There were accessible and detailed instructions for the public, private, and in-room Onsen. The 4 private outdoor Onsen (first come first serve) were lovely and peaceful. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious and filling. There are complimentary frozen snacks in the lounge area. Free shuttle bus service available upon request with the ryokan. We were fortunate to be added to the list last minute (the day before departure) from Jozankei to Sapporo, but would recommend contacting the Ryokan in advance to reserve. The public buses between Sapporo and Jozankei (e.g. 8J and 7J) can get quite crowded, which can make traveling with luggage challenging.

Offering a spa and wellness centre, the property is located within 41 km of Otarushi Zenibako City Center. Certain rooms at the property feature a balcony with a mountain view. The staff were absolutely incredible; we had to have our bags shipped down to Osaka due to smaller stops in Tokyo and Mt Fuji (too short to be able to guarantee the bags would arrive on time) which is a crazy distance. The ladies at the Information Centre were able to explain the process for this and even drew us a map to get to the shuttle bus to the train station and encouraged us to take a jacket and do a practice walk the night before. The tour we booked was also fantastic, and the food and local beer was great too. The room was incredible; it was so affordable for the space you're given and relaxing in the onsen overlooking the ballpark was an unforgettable experience, they even have snacks and a bar! Everyone we came across was so lovely, even other people staying were interested to hear about our trip as it's not a common place to find foreigners.

Ski equipment hire, bike hire and car hire are available at the accommodation and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. Enjoyed our stay here! Definitely the best stay in Japan, they have everything prepared for you. Loved it!
