The breakfast was the BEST in my lifetime so far! Every dish was perfect including all the main dishes and side dishes. Ingredients were so fresh and tasty.

Set in the woods by Mount Kuruhi, Hotel Shogetsutei is 5 minutes from Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station on the free shuttle. It features beautiful outdoor hot-spring baths and a spa. Everything about the stay was perfect. From the reception to our room attendant - everyone was overly polite and kind. The room was amazing (with private onsen) - very spacious, traditional style and an amazing view. The private onsen experience is well worth the money and I can only recommend it. Kaiseki dinner was private in our room - the food was fresh, interesting and tasty. Breakfast was a buffet, there was both japanese and western style breakfast - both were delicious. Overall, visiting an onsen town and trying traditional kaiseki dinner is an amazing experience that everyone visiting Japan has to experience and the Nishimuraya Hotel in Kinosaki onsen is a great place to do that.

Yamamotoya is a 7-minute walk from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station and a free 2-way shuttle is provided. It offers Japanese-style accommodation with a brewery, a hot-spring bath and free Wi-Fi. Good location very convenient to go to public bath, nice staff. Onsen of ryokan is very private everyone go to public bath so it’s not so crowded.

Featuring a Japanese garden, hot-spring baths and a vase gallery, Mikuniya is 250 metres from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have a DVD player and traditional futon beds. Loved this traditional Japanese ryoken experience. We stayed in two ryoken stays in Kinosaki and this was the clear favourite. The yakuta they provided to us during our stay was really beautiful and comfortable. They have multiple private onsens which are free to use - and also provide ice lollies as refreshment after the onsen. The rooms were cozy and all amenities were provided. Location was another big plus - a 2-3 minute walk to the Kinosaki railway station which was very convenient for us as we had an early morning train at 7 am. Would definitely recommend this place. Could not try their dinner experience though.

I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! The checked in process was incredibly quick and efficient. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely dinner they hosted for guests. It was a delightful experience, showcasing not only great food but also a warm atmosphere that made it feel special. Overall, the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff stood out to us, making our stay even more enjoyable. I believe this hotel truly deserves a high rating for its excellent service and hospitality. I can't wait to return! Highly recommended!
