Boasting a hot spring bath, Yamanaka Onsen Kissho Yamanaka is 25 minutes by shuttle bus from JR Kagaonsen Station. Private hot spring baths are available for free. Amazing ryokan located in the picturesque Yamanaka village. The staff was very professional and caring. The room was spacious, with coffee and tea sets ready to use. We enjoyed the onsen, the yukatas, the afternoon pancakes, the evening drinks, the geiko performance and everything else very much. The food was delicious, both in Kissho and in their Sister hotel (free bar and unlimited tempura there). Honestly for everything we got the price was very reasonable. We even got a special celebration with cake, drinks and gift for my husband's birthday.
