The property was absolutely beautiful and many of the staff spoke English very well, so communication was no issue. In all our travels we have never been to such an accommodating hotel where the staff took such great care of us and were so warm and friendly. The food was fantastic, and the lobby always had refreshments available for snacking or drinks. They arranged for our hiking gear so we could go see the Sugi trees--which were amazing!

This hotel was absolutely well located with various restaurants and convenience stores close to it. The staff was absolutely amazing and the rooms superbe also.

Located right in front of the shore, guests at Ibusuki Phoenix Hotel can enjoy "Sunamushi" sand hot-spring baths and request for relaxing massages. The interior (lobby area) had a Hawaii atmosphere. The hotel had a large souvenir shop, with snacks and drinks. We had half board included, and had a nice meal in the evening including drinks. The kids got a kids meal plate. We tried the sand-bath at the hotel, nice experience. For us it was included in the price. It was raining, but we still used the outdoors pool. The rooms had comfortable sleeping mattresses (on the floor) instead of hard futons. It was very OK altogether.
