Staff are very welcoming. It has a very traditional Japanese vibe. You leave your shoes in the lockers right after entrance, and you walk barefoot in the hotel. The place is very well kept. There are different pools in the onsen, and it's not crowded at all. I like the breakfast the best! There is a lot of options, both Japanese and Western. A bit pricey, but value for money.

Super nice hotel luxurious at very affordable price- close from Universal Studios (one stop by metro just in front of the hotel) and Osaka world expo). Staff so lovely and helpful.

The Thousand Kyoto features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto. I't literally one minute walk from Kyoto Station, and somehow is in a quiet street. The lobby is a beautiful art installation. The room (and the bathroom!) was big and modern, everything was controlled with a built-in iPad Mini. But hands down the best feature of the hotel is the polite and friendly staff, going beyond even what you are accustomed to in Japan.
