The host, which I was allowed to call Rio is super nice and welcoming. And as a young traveler he created a very safe and calm atmosphere. The hostel was super comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. Kikuchi is such a nice place with many beautiful spots around the area. I rented a bike from Rio and drove around on my first day, and I was positively overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature! I can recommend to go here!:)

The cottage was well maintained and very cosily decorated. It was complete with all the amenities you could need. The private indoor and outdoor onsens were amazing for us to enjoy together as a family, especially as we have tattoos. The bed was comfortable and the kids loved sleeping in the loft upstairs.

Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring is centrally located in Kumamoto, in front of the Kumamoto Bus Terminal and 1.6 km from the JR Kumamoto Station. Onsen was sooo pretty. Breakfast was very good

Tattoo is ok even though it says not ok. Most of the people at onsen has tattoo. Family friendly. Do not avail their breakfast buffet. Same price for kids and adults 2750 yen. Needs reservation. We reserved at 0800. Arrived at 0805 by 0835, food is gone. They’re putting away the food to get ready for lunch buffet. Not so much selections. The front desk does not speak english and will avoid talking to you. He does not entertain questions. The one helping to carry our bags speaks english and answers all our questions.

Kikunan Onsen Yubel Hotel ligger i Kumamoto, 7,3 km fra Kumamoto-borgen, og har en have, en restaurant og gratis privat parkering. Really great value for money. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Room was spacious and comfortable. Drinks with dinner were reasonably priced. Entry provided to next door spa which was super nice and they even posted some stuff we had left in the room after. 10/10

Aso Baien Spa Resort features 3 different types of outdoor natural hot spring baths, a sauna and karaoke rooms. Comfortable rooms come with free wireless internet. Everything was lovely, the food was delicious, the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Really happy with our stay.
