The only downside is that as of November of 2024 you can no longer use any IC card to get around kumamoto, only their special kumamoto-only card. This is obviously not the fault of the hotel, but since it's a bit far from the station make sure you have the spare change for public transportation.

Next to shopping mall with information centre for bus tickets & SUNQpass reservation inside. Many good restaurants nearby. Almost all scenic sites are within walking distance.

Arrived at 0805 by 0835, food is gone. They’re putting away the food to get ready for lunch buffet. Not so much selections. The front desk does not speak english and will avoid talking to you. He does not entertain questions. The one helping to carry our bags speaks english and answers all our questions.
