Wow, this property is AMAZING! It was the highlight of our three weel trip! Totally worth the cost! It's in a prime location within walking distance to many prime places. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! The restaurant was out of this world- delicious Italian! Paying for thr breakfast is worth it! So many options!!!!

The Thousand Kyoto features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto. I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The interior is modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The large, comfy bed and exceptionally clean bathroom with minimal style decor and functional design stood out. The lighting creates a cozy ambiance, and the room is fully equipped with amenities. A highlight was the adorable housekeeping robot—such a unique touch!

The location is perfect, the rooms are stylish and very comfortable (amazing pillows!!), and we really enjoyed the onsen :) There’s water dispensers and washing+drying machines which are very convenient. We also appreciated the fact that they kept our luggage before check-in and after check-out. All in all a great value for money. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel because we found it too expensive (2200¥ per person) - maybe it would have been cheaper when booked together with the room? But we managed with the nearby shops such as Caffe Veloce, Hollys and Family mart.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. A good mix between traditional and modern. The bath area in the evening was perfect to relax and get rid of the stress of the day (walking, hiking and so on).
