The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko features restaurants, fitness centre, a lobby lounge bar and shared lounge in Nikko situated by Lake Chuzenji and overlooking Mount Nantai. We had the most wonderful time at the hotel! Staff were very professional and welcoming, breakfast was outstanding, the whole stay very relaxing! Onsent was incredible. The hotel is located by beautiful lake, great for walks and long runs!

Leave plenty of time to get here by public transport, since the final bus to Meteobuchi only runs a few times per day (after which you can organise a shuttle bus to the hotel). The outdoor onsens were absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the traditional rooms were beautiful. Highly recommend more than one nights stay to make the trip worthwhile.
