The public hot-spring bath on site is made from Hinoki cypress wood and features free flowing natural spring water. The service was excellent. We had a problem due to travelling and the staff was extremely helpful and flexible. The onsen was so relaxing and had stunning views, right next to a beautiful cold river. The foodbuffet was delicious. I have celiac so I have to eat glutenfree, and the staff went to great lengths to make sure I could eat delicious glutenfree Japanese food. They showed me carefully which dishes were glutenfree, they even made a special plate for me. The Japanese style room was very nice and quiet. Location is great if you want to go on hikes. The free shuttle bus service is excellent and they even pick you up if you can't make it back to the hotel yourself after your hike. Very good value for money. Much recommended!

Excellent location with sea-view. room decoration is nice with a big TV screen. Staff are nice especially front desk staff can speak in fluent English and are very helpful. Roof top spa is also a very good experience.
The location was fantastic. We had the traditional Japanese rooms and they we very spacious and lovely rooms. the breakfast had a big selection and was very good
The view from the room is superb!!, we stayed at Japanese tatami room type. The room was spacious and felt like ninja house where so many doors connected to different small rooms. We got buffet both dinner and breakfast. I would recommend you to try dinner, it was superb. Breakdowns is ok but nothing special. The staff were amazing!! :)
Amazing place to stay. The views from the balcony are breathtaking, even more so with a cold draught beer after a hike. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. There were so many spaces to sit and relax and things to look at. The owner was such a warm, funny guy that entertained everyone. The dinner was one of the best meals I've had in Japan and the breakfast was also great. Room was very comfortable with a stunning a view. I would highly recommend. Best place we've stayed at so far.
It was a nice hotel. A short walk from train station and a bit longer walk to the castle. Our room was comfortable and clean. The furnishing was sufficient. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The best thing was the onsen and massage chair. So relaxing. We booked same hotel for our autumn trip.
Onsen was relaxing and spacious, the mikan juice was delicious at the breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the icecreams after the onsen. Close to wakayama castle and train station. Laundry available.
The beach is amazing, just a few min walk, and you have to pay extra for the beach view. Breakfast and dinners were also great. They have a nice open air onsen, and 2 hot and normal temperature onsens inside. My room was spacious enough. There are free hot and cold drinks on the first floor and good massage available. Have a free bus shauttle from the railway - if you manage to learn how to find it. It left randomly, not according the schedule. Ask someone in Japan to call hotel to learn more about shauttle.
Brilliant customer service, they went above and beyond. Rooftop spa amazing, breakfast good and rooms very comfortable
This place is magical. The view from the junior suite was breathtaking. The space and comfort was outstanding. The luxury suite is authentic and real and not a little contrived. The staff were extremely committed and extremely helpful and made our stay perfect. Thanks a lot for this. If you want to relax and unwind, this is the place for you.
* The staff was wonderful, with the attitude and attentiveness of luxury resort (generally good English for easy communication and very friendly). * Dinner and breakfast in a private dining space with a tasty and varied traditional Japanese menu. * Room includes a basic private toilet and sink (non typical for hotels in this area), very convenient for privacy. * Large room with attached sunroom. Regular and floor chairs in the room for back support at the tables. * Large and authentic onsen facilities onsite.
