Set in Kandy, 800 metres from Bogambara Stadium, swp eco lodge offers air-conditioned rooms and a garden. The real value of this lodge is the staff, really helpful and kind. The room was spacious, clean and the terrace really nice. We had a great Sri Lankan breakfast, but also continental option is available. The staff helped us to plan our trips around Kandy and points of interest nearby.

The Golden Crown Hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip through Sri Lanka including Colombo, the north, and other regions. The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

It's a fascinating building wonderfully situated right in the heart of the jungle, with plants growing over it. Marvellous views over the nearby lake, just slightly spoiled by the fact that a drought had left it nearly empty. Service was superb with tremendous attention to detail. I enjoyed the meals, both the buffet breakfast and dinner, each of which provided a very wide choice. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A memorable place to stay.

The place is absolutely amazing, the rooms are really comfortable with a really good lavender smell. Having a tasty breakfast with nature sounds and talking with the friendly staff was great. We had an amazing two night stay here at the end of our time in Sri Lanka. The food was incredible, especially the fish salad:). They hooked us up with a tuktuk driver to get us to Sigiriya Rock in the morning, then a Naturalist for an afternoon park tour to see elephants. The safari tour was incredible value and we saw lots and lots of elephants. We enjoyed a morning at the spa as our treat to ourselves before heading off to Kandy then the airport. It also was amazing and we walked out of there feeling like jello. The facilities are brand new, gorgeous, clean and well thought out. The location overlooking the lake in the private mango grove is very peaceful. The staff are helpful and laid back. I knew coming to Sri Lanka that there is a different dynamic vs Canada when it comes to women, and I certainly didn’t come with any intention of imposing my Canadian values here. However, being at this women managed and staffed hotel was a nice change during the trip where I felt like I could speak up and answer questions ahead of my partner without them looking to him for confirmation. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

The mother prepares delicious meals in her cozy restaurant, and the father took us on one of the most beautiful tours we’ve ever done – full of stunning views and authentic local experiences. Everything here is filled with heart and soul. Their warmth and genuine hospitality turned our stay into something truly special. It’s rare to find such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place with personality, comfort, and unforgettable people – this is it. Highly recommended from the bottom of my heart!

It was a beautiful location to spend our time in Sigiriya, one of the best we had so far in Sri-Lanka. That is an extremely cute place! Rooms are clean, hot water pressure is perfect. They have a really clean swimming pool and even warm, that was wonderful after all day road. Humidity level in room is good, there isn't any smell and I could dry all my clothes. Also they have a restaurant, I ate only breakfast, but it was good and tasty. Definitely recommended to stay here.
