Outside you can chill around the pool (really nice from day to night.) The breakfast is tasty as well and made with love. To be honest, all the person is there for you and make you feel happy. The room is nicer and more spacious than it looks on the photos. The host is super kind and attentive, easy to communicate with, and he made me the best breakfast with omelette, rice, pancakes, huge amount of fruits, juice and other local food! He also picked me up and dropped me at the airport. Bottled water is free and he gave me an extra bottle for the travel. So nice. Wifi is strong enough for video calls and screen sharing. Right across the road is a good place to eat and there are 2 ATMs right beside it. The place also has a basic rooftop. I will stay here again next time I need a one night stay near the Colombo airport! :)

Airport A4 Transit Hub - Eco Chalets is located in Katunayake, within 11 km of St Anthony's Church and 33 km of R Premadasa Stadium. With an outdoor swimming pool, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. There is a restaurant serving Asian cuisine, and free private parking is available. Arrived at 3:30 am, after 24 hours of plane travel. Our hosts were everything you could hope for at that point. At the airport waiting for us at 3:20 am. Greeted with warm cheer and much helpful advice (even an offer of cold beer). Our cute little chalet was nothing fancy but great AC, comfortable bed and warm shower. In the morning, they took care of our SIM cards, got us to an ATM and a ride to train station. Great start to the trip.

We were given the family room on the second floor, which is very spacious with high ceilings and two large beds. The room was tastefully decorated and well equipped, with AC, fan and a fridge. It has views over the canal and the large pool. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The property is in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes walk away from the sea front and restaurants. The host was very helpful and arranged our lift to the airport, a 20-25 minute drive away. A great place to start or end a trip to Sri Lanka.

Guests can relax near the outdoor fireplace at the bed and breakfast. Hosts, Buddi and family, were amazing. They kindly stayed up late to welcome us on arrival and helped us arrange transport to Kandy the following morning. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a lovely common area. (We only stayed one night so didn’t get to explore the surrounding area.)
