A very nice guy is the manager, he makes you feel that you are very welcome. He even gave us a ”welcomebeer” and a cold bottle of water. I really recommend this place. And he even drives you or pick you up from the flight for free.

He helped arrange tuk-tuks, shopping, and even welcomed me into his beautiful village. That day will stay with me. Chuti’s cooking is out of this world — soulful curries cooked to perfection. Asanka, Cha, and the rest of the team are warm, intuitive, and quietly brilliant. Returning to your cottage feels like the fairies have been — everything clean, calm, and glowing. It’s the kind of place that makes you breathe deeper, sleep better, and believe in the goodness of people again. I travel a lot. I’m extremely picky. And I can say — from Monte Carlo to Mauritius — this is in my top three stays anywhere in the world. The Cottage is family, nature, care, and calm wrapped into one unforgettable experience. Places like this aren’t found — they find you. And they stay with you.

Wow what an amazing welcome in Sri Lanka. I flew in yesterday evening late at night and the manager came to pick me up from the airport (for free). The room is very good, with A/C, hot water, bottled drinking water. The hospitality of this place is unbelievable. I received a free SIM card (5GB), breakfast in the morning and one of the staff members took me to the bus to Kandy. Actually we needed to chase the bus and I managed to catch it. And so was able to leave a bag here and come to get it when I leave Sri Lanka. I’m a solo female traveller and I felt completely safe. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone .

Maria Villa is in a quiet backstreet close to the beach. Comfortable room. Janet the owner is lovely and very helpful with booking tours and local information. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again.

Set in Negombo, 700 metres from Negombo Beach Park, Green Wood Villa Negombo boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Great place to stay! Vert Nice family and perfect room. 100% recommanded. They help us book a taxi to our next destination and everything went Well.

Hosts, Buddi and family, were amazing. They kindly stayed up late to welcome us on arrival and helped us arrange transport to Kandy the following morning. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a lovely common area. (We only stayed one night so didn’t get to explore the surrounding area.)
