A tuk tuk to the city centre and back is approx 300 slr. You can stop by at keels for your groceries. Turtle hatcheries, water sports at some of the. Upmarket resorts, river safaries are all with a 10 min ride. You must stay at this property. The staff are not only friendly but also extremely helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all our needs including helping with recommendations, tuk tuks and overall information. The breakfast was great and very filling which resulted in not needing to eat lunch on a few of the days. If you enjoy Sri Lankan food then you'll love the breakfast. There is of course bread, spreads and omelette if wanted. Rooms were spacious and we had an air-conditioned room which was nice when it was hot although the rooms stayed relatively cool. The pool is very nice for a swim at any time of the day. The whole property is extremely clean which including pool area and breakfast which was free from sand and dirt. I do recommend and thanks to the staff for a great stay.

Villa River View is in an excellent location and gorgeous view of the river which makes it a peaceful retreat . The home is very welcoming and kept in pristine condition by Viraj and his lovely family. I would highly recommend staying at Villa River View as I had great advice on the local area and what to see in this beautiful part of Sri Lanka which I would have not found out as a solo traveller .
