Set right on the beach, Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa offers beach front rooms, a year-round children's pool, relaxation pool and outdoor lap pool. This hotel made our trip. If I could afford it I'd just stay there for the whole 10 days we spent on the coast. It's perfect for beginner surfers as it's right on the Weligama beach. We had a free room upgrade from Ocean View to Ocean Vista and we were so grateful to be pampered. I wish we had tried the Big Fish restaurant, it looked fantastic but we had reservations with friends outside the hotel. The service was exceptional and I'd recommend 100% to anyone looking for a stay in Weligamma.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The whole place is so we'll designed and laid out. Very impressive. Blends nature into the building very well. The staff are fantastic. So friendly. Unfortunately I can't remember the welcoming manager but he was such a nice man. Antony (manager in the restaurant is fantastic and does a great job in looking after you).The lift is a cool little novelty into the hotel. Gave us refreshments on arrival. We stayed here on our last 2 nights of our honeymoon, which the gave us a food platter and 2 free cocktails. Very kind of them. They even gave us a fair well gift. The hotel itself is stunning. Stunning views and facilities. Rooms are very spacious. The monkeys are everywhere so you just need to watch your stuff around the pool but great to watch while floating in the pool. Food is fantastic. I really can't fault this place. We stayed in some great hotels travelling around sri Lanka but coastline Marissa was level above them all. We actually met the hotel co owner who actually took time out to show us a cool boat tour just around the corner and chatted to us about the area and what to do. He is such a nice man and very welcoming. Highly recommend staying here is you had the chance.

The Rainforest Hideaway có hồ bơi ngoài trời, khu vườn, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên ở Deniyaya. Ngoài dịch vụ tiền sảnh, chỗ nghỉ này còn có công viên nước. An amazing little cabin off the side of a beautiful river with waterfall you can swim in. This was the most unique and amazing rustic hideaway we were in. Such a special place! The family was super kind and the meals were plentiful and delicious. As it is isolated, you will probably eat all your meals here, they are good and well priced. Jungle tour recommended by Sahara, was fun and interesting. He was very easy to coordinate with for the pickup/dropoff by 4x4 from the nearest town. This place is so special, I cannot recommend it enough.

We absolutely loved our stay here, was one of the most special spots in our whole time in Sri Lanka. The location was so peaceful, looking over the palm forrest with monkeys and other animals around. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful- facilitating motorbike hire and tuk tuks for us. The room was incredible, nestled in the jungle with plenty of space and great facilities. Everything felt clean and comfortable. Great air conditioning and the pool was amazing. Wish we could have stayed here longer

Gaby (and her cute pups) is the best host we've stayed with during our time in Sri Lanka. She was always available to help with anything we needed and had some great recommendations for places to see around the area as well. She invited us in very warmly and felt like family when it was time to finally leave. We would definitely stay here again! The room was gorgeous, very large, and had everything you could want (with European quality/standards too!). The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was luxurious with a separate shower area so the floor did not get wet in the main area. The shower head and hot water were great as well! Breakfasts with Gaby were delicious and the perfect balance of variety and quantity. We really appreciated the homemade jam and beautiful flower decorations as well! We will be dreaming of this room and this experience as we continue our travels in Asia. Thank you again for an amazing stay!

The owners are lovely, and ready to help with anything. The rooms were large (with lots of natural light), well maintained, and the property in generally is very peaceful (i.e. serene). Location is perfect, about 5 minutes from Hiriketiya beach and a bunch of great cafes and restaurants. They host yoga classes in the morning, and the gym on the property is better than most five stars. Serene Villa was a big reason why Hiriketiya was our favourite location on our 10 day SL trip.

Chathu was a very warm and friendly host and we felt so welcome and safe at Plantation. It’s conveniently located at Midigama just a short 5-7 minute drive to most of the cafes and nightlife at Ahangama. The room was really clean and comfortable. We were easily able to rent a scooter from the property and Chathu recommended us some routes to explore. We will definitely be back next time we are in Midigama.

Dots Bay House is situated on Hiriketiya beach in Dikwella, Dots Bay House has a garden and free WiFi. Featuring a restaurant and a Surf shop, the property also has a shared lounge. Can’t expect anything better for solo travelers. Meeting people is easy, the place is designed to be shared with other travelers, it’s comfortable, safe, clean and meters from the beach. The staff will ALWAYS help you even before you ask. 10/10
