The views from our room were breathtaking. Having coffee in the morning looking at Little Adam’s peak was perfect. They had the best shower of our entire Sri Lankan holiday. The pool club was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

We came from Arugam Bay to look a bit for a quiet escape and to be around nature. It was all we hoped for - great staff - super helpful and amazing breakfast with views, super cozy and quiet room with all you need to get yourself prepared for a bit of trekking. Also super good spot to go straight to the rails and start your Ella Rock climb - super cool experience and a full reco!

Boasting a terrace and a shared lounge, New Blue Home is located in Ella. Built in 2016, the property is within an 11-minute walk of Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. Free WiFi is available. I checked more than 20 options in Ella before choosing New Blue Home, and honestly, I think it was my best choice so far out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect — close to the town center where all the dining places are, but still in a quiet neighborhood. It’s also just a short walk to the Nine Arch Bridge, which was super convenient. The biggest highlight for us was Shirley. He was extremely nice and helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. He helped with anything we needed, gave us great advice about places to visit and the best times to go, and even arranged transport so we could see several spots in one day and make the most of our time. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and every morning Shirley made us a tasty breakfast, served on the terrace with a lovely mountain view. I would highly recommend this place for your choice. If we ever come back to Ella, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The family who runs it are incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was immaculately clean, and the location, though slightly outside the busy Ella town, was perfect for us – a tranquil jungle retreat just a 10-15 minute tuk-tuk ride away. We loved being surrounded by nature. The option for homemade meals was a huge plus, and the breakfast we had was exceptional. The terrace and the views were amazing, its the perfect place to relax and enjoy being in the nature. The breakfast was huge and delicious with sri lankan or western options. Ruwan and his wife were very kind and attentive and Ruwan is open to pick you up and drop you to/from downtown by his tuktuk and even available to guide you and make a tour throughout the most important Ella’s touristic spots.
