Don’t under estimate this place. Room had everything one might need including one of the comfiest beds and powerful showers so far in Sri Lanka. The room we stayed in had a fantastic view of Ella rock and a waterfall. It’s a very easy walk into Ella along the rail way tracks (this is normal in Ella I promise). Staff wanted to do as much as they could to make the stay at the hotel and time in Ella as enjoyable as possible.

I loved spending time sitting outside and enjoying the wilderness. Room was big spacious and clean. Beds comfortable with mosquito net. Breakfast delicious. Danu was very attentive and helpful. No AC but room was comfortable at night as it gets chilli outside.

Boasting a terrace and a shared lounge, New Blue Home is located in Ella. Built in 2016, the property is within an 11-minute walk of Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. Free WiFi is available. We booked 3 nights to start with but liked the place so much that we decided to extend the stay with 2 more nights. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is in walking distance to the center but away from the noise from the clubs and road to the hotel was ok to drive in our TukTuk. The hotel even made us af free dinner because we stayed so long.

Offering a restaurant, Tea Forest Lodge is located in Ella, surrounding a view of the tea plantations. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a balcony. Good location, quiet location but close enough to city center with a short tuktuk ride. Walking distance to the nine arch bridge and little adams peak is a great plus. Amazing staff. Siva and Ghika were very helpful making our staff comfortable. Breakfast is huge.

The Cozy Forest is a beautiful relaxing solution if you want to spend some days in Ella. The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. The host was very kind, helped us on any request we had and explained what to do in the days we were there. The position is a little outside of Ella but in a few minute in tuk tuk is possible to easily reach the city center. To be out of the city is a huge advantage because is quiet.

The bed sheets were super clean and comfortable. The room was really good considering the humidity around. The room and bathroom were very clean. The owner was super nice and friendly. He welcomed us with some tea and biscuits. He sent us places to visit without the intention of selling anything. The place is 15 minutes walking or you can get there by Tuk Tuk (around 400) or the owner can pick you up. He actually drove us to the next destination and we met with him in the city and he brought our backpacks. We felt safe, comfortable and the place is really quiet and calm. The views are spectacular. If you are looking for being close to Ella but at the same time some peace this is the place.

We loved the location as it was so tranquil and relaxing, however would recommend your own transport for ease but the host can also assist in drop off's and pick ups from the town if he is available. Our hosts were so kind and really went above and beyond for us, they even put together a surprise to help celebrate my partners birthday. The room was spacey and facilities were great (even had a fridge). Breakfast was indulgent and we highly recommend to anyone who wants to be within nature and away from the bustling town. Room may need a coat of paint but that is really nitpicking, and for us not a big deal at all but some may disagree.
