Newly built (Dec 2024) and well maintained. There are 3 houses, each containing 2 rooms, so 6 rooms in total. Very friendly and welcoming staff, walking distance to Nilaveli beach (700 m), clean and spacious rooms with high ceiling, wonderful food.

A really great place to stay literally 2 minutes from the beach and 2 minutes to the nearest restaurant. The gardens are beautiful and a real oasis away from the sun and heat. Thines was extremely helpful and the room was great.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre, Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa is located just 5 km north of the Trincomalee town on the beautiful East Coast of Sri Lanka. Mayuran and Roshan were great and friendly staff. Helped us alot to feel comfortable at the resort. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone families and couples. 10/10

At the last minute, we switched from a large accommodation to the smaller Coastal Heaven Villa. We're so glad we did. What a wonderful place and what lovely people! There's a great vibe here. The accommodation is new. Real care and attention has been put into the rooms and common areas. The rooms are super clean, the bed is new; a very thick, comfortable mattress, and there's good air conditioning. Shampoo and tea and coffee making facilities are also in the room. We loved the common areas and garden where we could relax. Coastal Heaven is close (about 150 meters) to the lovely beach, which had a lovely, relaxed vibe when we were there. The accommodation provided beach towels, and you can also use the beach beds at Waves restaurant. Two excellent restaurants right on the beach. The owner, Thilee (speaks good English), and his staff are incredibly kind people, truly care for their guests, and do everything they can to make their stay as comfortable as possible. We needed a doctor in the middle of the night. The owner had a qualified doctor come to the property and even picked up medication from the hospital by motorbike. If necessary, we could stay longer the next day at no extra cost. They were very concerned. Thank you so much, Thilee, and your cooperation, for the wonderful time and excellent care! Antony is the man for everything. He gave us a warm welcome and gave us a lot of recommendations and helped us out with every need we had. We also had some nice chats with him. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are really comfy. We enjoyed our stay here!

I had such a wonderful stay here. I originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up extending for another night — and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Trincomalee. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and even with just the fan on, it felt cold and refreshing. The water pressure was strong, which I really appreciated after long days out. I was also super satisfied with the lighting — the room was really bright, which I loved, especially compared to other places I’ve stayed at. The location is fantastic — just a 2-minute walk to the beach, which is the perfect spot to chill, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. On top of that, I had the best massage at the spa upstairs! What truly made my stay memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. They often offered me free tea, and I even got a free dinner on my last night! Sura, the owner, was super friendly — I never felt alone because he would always take the time to chat and share great recommendations. I especially loved the sunset spot he told me about! I can’t wait to come back, not just to visit Trincomalee again, but because of the wonderful experience I had here. Highly recommend!
