This was one of the absolutely best finds on Nilaweli stretch. The rooms were huge and spotlessly clean. The meals, especially the local food, were amazing. And all the staff were helpful, warm and always there to make our stay more comfortable.

Excellent value. Very quiet spot and also only 100 meters from the beach. Food is just down the laneway and easy walking distance.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre, Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa is located just 5 km north of the Trincomalee town on the beautiful East Coast of Sri Lanka. Mayuran and Roshan were great and friendly staff. Helped us alot to feel comfortable at the resort. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone families and couples. 10/10

The place is great! Super close to the beach, clean room and awesome shower! Thilee was the best. He helped us book a scooter, find yoga classes, and was always super kind and welcoming! We stayed two nights and everything was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The family is very friendly and kind. The breakfast is very tasty and the garden is beautiful, perfect to start the day refreshed! We recommend Pranu without hesitation :)

I had such a wonderful stay here. I originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up extending for another night — and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Trincomalee. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and even with just the fan on, it felt cold and refreshing. The water pressure was strong, which I really appreciated after long days out. I was also super satisfied with the lighting — the room was really bright, which I loved, especially compared to other places I’ve stayed at. The location is fantastic — just a 2-minute walk to the beach, which is the perfect spot to chill, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. On top of that, I had the best massage at the spa upstairs! What truly made my stay memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. They often offered me free tea, and I even got a free dinner on my last night! Sura, the owner, was super friendly — I never felt alone because he would always take the time to chat and share great recommendations. I especially loved the sunset spot he told me about! I can’t wait to come back, not just to visit Trincomalee again, but because of the wonderful experience I had here. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the High Park Hotel. The staff was nice, kind, always attentive to our needs and helpful in organizing activities and transportation to the train station. The beach was just a few steps from our room.

Nilaveli Beach Resort is set on the bronzed sands of Nilaveli Beach. This tranquil resort welcomes guests with a private beach area, cosy guestrooms and free internet access at all public areas. Perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday at the beach. Beautiful, large, comfortable, and well equipped rooms, excellent service on all departments, beautiful beach, very good restaurant with varied menu. For breakfast (we always took Sri Lankan) and were offered different dishes for each of the three days we spent there. You are out of town and therefore will need transportation to go anywhere. This can be easily arranged through the hotel (that has also a private tuk-tuk), but honestly, apart from a lovely three hours tour of Trincomalee city, the only thing we really wanted was to enjoy the peace and beauty of the resort. Even with heavy rain it was wonderful to sit in the room's veranda. Tip: if you are an early riser you can watch the local fishermen in the process of retrieving the nets with the catch. Fascinating!
