I highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back. It's true that the hotel is on a hill, so there's a short uphill walk from Downtown, but it’s manageable and you can also take a car or taxi. This might be a bit tricky for elderly guests, but the views and peaceful setting are worth it!

The accommodation features a wellness area which includes a hot tub. I had a wonderful experience at the Sara N Hotel Spa. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was very clean, and so was our room. It was in a great location, walking distance to everything. The check-out time was at 12 p.m. I asked the staff if I could check out at 1:00 p.m. because I was traveling with my one-year-old and that was around her nap time, and our flight didn't leave until 8:30 p.m. They were very great and gave me until 1:20 p.m. to check out. I would highly recommend this place to stay. I will also be staying again when I go back to visit family.

Food was delicious, cocktails were perfect, hotel grounds were gorgeous, and the staff was unbelievably friendly. Everything was SO well priced (especially the Swedish massages, which were also incredible!) Most of the staff spoke English, or otherwise were very patient with our use of a translation app. Owner was also super nice and gracious.

The Garlands del Rio is a really beautiful hotel, the photos do not do it justice. It’s situated directly on the river, it’s such a relaxing place to be, it’s so unique and the staff are all fantastic. We only had 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer
