The staff were brilliant and the Lancava restaurant was top notch .

Very spacious and clean room with good ac, good lighting and warm water. Good location around the corner from a good coffee shop and short walk to main street and beach. No mosquitos in room. Excellent value

Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to enjoy it to the fullest.

La Villa Langkawi (Private Pool) is a modern one-bedroom property with its own private pool and balcony overlooking lush greenery. We love everything about our stay, we came earlier at around 12pm and since our villa is available they allow us to check in early. Very nice welcome drink - we got peach tea Our villa is Soo spacious, the pool is the biggest I ever saw for a private villa so far and our room were totally beautiful. Food is great, breakfast is not a buffet but they have a variety of choice to choose from and we choose dining in room which is very convenient. Our minibar is free with lots of choice n free refill everytime we want. We have 2 TV in our villa with Soo many choice of channel and smart TV with Netflix too. Last but not least, staff was great , very friendly and Very helpful ,love them.

Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. Everything. So peaceful sitting out in the open air section up in the rainforest canopy looking out to the water.. Got to see the monkeys climb by in the mornings. All the staff were so nice. The breakfast was delicious. Bit of a walk down to reception but you can get a lift. Just make sure you have everything before leaving the room. No problem when you're on island time. The outside bath was great too but just start running it a while before you want to go in as it takes time to fill up.
