Van der Valk Leeuwarden is located at a distance of 5 km from the city centre of Leeuwarden. The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. I recently stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Leeuwarden and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The hotel is modern, spacious, and immaculately maintained. My room was large, with a comfortable bed, stylish décor, and a spotless bathroom equipped with a rainfall shower. Small touches like the coffee machine, generous desk space, and quiet atmosphere made it perfect for both work and relaxation. The breakfast: unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast. Location-wise: the hotel is just outside the city center, making it easy to reach by car with free parking, yet only a short drive or bike ride into Leeuwarden’s charming old town. What stood out most was the staff: friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to make guests feel welcome. From check-in to check-out, everything felt effortless and well-organized.

This peacefully situated country house benefits from a picturesque terrace, indoor swimming pool with panoramic views and a fitness centre. Calm, the friendly staff and the amazing surrounding views. Really charming

A young couple built its own small paradise in an old barn in the country side. Very individualistic ideas in construction of beds, bath rooms and garden, including sauna and hot bath. They need still more guests so that this lovely place gets an economic push. The breakfast vegetarian style was also extraordinary and the hospitality of our hosts exeptional. Everything was awesome. The hosts were the best part. They took care of us as if we were friends, we felt really taken care of. The facility itself is amazing. Surrounded by nature, you could relax in a garden with a book - amazing. On our last night we used the sauna and bath outside and we were given special non alcoholic beverages aka champagne with snacks - everything was healthy and delicious. Including breakfast! All the machines you could use to better your health were super cool, especially their meditation chairs. Room itself was small but cozy and had a really nice vibe matching nature outside. Incredibly comfortable beds. We had a blast. Definitely coming back!

This is a truly luxurious spot and we look forward to returning. It may cost a bit more, but it was definitely worth it.

Amazing bed, lovely views out to the countryside, friendly cats, sauna and plunge pool (for a small extra cost), bike hire, kitchenette and ample bathroom. For the price you pay, it doesn’t get much better than this. Lots of lovely local restaurants in the area, just a few mins by bike or car.
