Kantipura Village Hotel is probably the best place to stay at KTM both in terms of the location (few mins walk to Thamel St) and overall ambience of the place. The hotel feels new and super clean with beautiful decorations / art display around. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and feel luxurious at this price with every facility you may need as a guest. The service is immaculate! The staff are very efficient, courteous and well trained and probably have the fastest room service I have experienced in Nepal. The food is very good both in terms of quality, taste and price. The manager Ms. Ashmita does a fantastic job in managing the guests and their needs and makes you feel very welcomed. Overall, a great experience & highly recommended place to stay. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We booked rooms for three nights, and they upgraded our room for free. The restaurant on the top floor had fantastic views of Kathmandu, and the food was very good. We did a massage in the spa, and it was inexpensive and soothing. The hotel is in the Thamel district but away from the main streets. So, it was easy to access the excitement of Thamel while also being quiet.
