Nothing too much for them made us very welcome. The room was clean and very modern. There is a microwave, toaster, and kettle, and you are supplied with some food items, milk, butter, jam, cereal, and snacks ect. Lovely view of the canal from the veranda. You are able to use some e-bikes if you want to, although we did not take up the offer. Would I go again? Yes, I would.

Situated within 1 km of Long Beach and 400 metres of Christ church, Bellrock Lodge features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Russell. We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

Location was fantastic!, accommodation was lovely and clean. beds comfortable, kitchen was well stocked i.e salt pepper foil , coffee machine, etc. cannot complain

This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The villa features a hot tub and a 24-hour front desk. Lovely and peaceful staycation. Enjoyed the fresh eggs from the hens and a beautiful jacuzzi to a lovely view of the lake. House was wall maintained and clean! A bit chilly due to the lake but after starting the fire place and using the heater, house was warm and cozy to enjoy. Enjoyed the sunrise and saw the southern lights for a beautiful ending! Not only did it come with a heated pool, spa, an outdoor shower and a million dollar view but it also allowed us to bring our doggo and our 7yr daughter. A place to take the whole whanau is super hard to find so the Kererūs nest ticks all the boxes. We even got to see a full looking over the ocean! Lovely host and a lovely air bnb to relax in
