Additionally, all excursions, including entrance to Sandoval Lake are paid, as are shuttle services from the airport to the property and back. Very nice lodge, in the middle of the jungle. Many birds and small wild life in the lodge. Expeditions organised by the lodge are various and with excellent guide (Moses). The swimming pool is a plus. Cook is great. Bungalows are very confortable. We highly recommend !

Located in the Amazon rainforest, this hotel features tours to the jungle, a massage spa overlooking the Madre de Dios forest and rooms with hammocks and balconies. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the rates. The food was good, the lunch and bkfst menus didn’t change but the dinner menu did. Had vegetarian and vegan options. Property is beautiful as are the rooms, very well maintained.

The rooms and bungalows provide rustic comfort, with dark wood floors and furniture. Each comes with a private bathroom with free toiletries, and forest or oxbow lake views. There is also a fan. This lodge exceeded our expectations. Amazing meals. Beautiful wild setting. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent guided tours (our guide Uriel was magnificent and fabulous at spotting wildlife.) The boat trips along the rivers were surreal, especially the morning breakfast boat out to see the wild parrots on the clay licks. The pickup and luggage storage services were added bonuses. This definitely requires a three night stay (which we did) 4 nights would have been out of this world.

At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. Casa Amazonas is a truly stunning place, surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest. The restorative shamanic yoga session with Jenny, from a local tribe, was an unforgettable experience—deeply relaxing and filled with valuable insights about the jungle’s traditions. It was especially magical on a rainy day. Vanessa was incredibly kind and helpful, sharing great advice about Peru and the best places to visit.

Each room here features a mosquito net and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Superior rooms have electricity between 12:00 and 13:00 and between 17:00 and 21:00. A daily breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Located right in the rain forest, great trips to explore the local area and nature. Staff were wonderful. A great experience.
