The Funny Lion is an amazing hotel with great facilities, good food and probably the best staff in El Nido. We cannot recommend this place enough if you are staying in El Nido. It is impossible not to feel like at home with the service you get at this accommodation.

The room/apartment was fabulous, clean and ideal for a family as it was a large sized apartment. The beds were comfortable and the ensuite bathroom facilities in each room were immacuate. The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff were so freindly and helpful each morning.. Location is excellent in Makati. The pool was lovely and the poolside bar was nice. I have to say all of the hotel staff were amazing, professional, and welcoming and could not do enough for us. Especially the concierge and the front desk staff who were extremely helpful.

The staff is super helpful and nice and we were very touched by the warm welcome. The food in the restaurant is delicious and it is very pleasant to sit there with the talented singer and the guitar. Lovely room. Nice and spacious. Location is great with lots of restaurants and convenience stores. The place had a hotel-like vibe, which I appreciated.

However, the view from the hotel is priceless. Pictures don't do it justice at all. Also, the hotel is near a village. Most of the staff comes from that village, which is great. It's full of chickens and you do hear them. But it's also full of children. If you have any spare toy, clothe, school supply or anything else, don't hesitate to bring them to donate them to these wonderful people.
