We stayed for 2 days. The power breakdown in Spain/Portugal was handled perfect via generators. Lucky us!

Massage treatments are also available at the property's spa, the Essential Fitness & Spa. Such a great place to stay. So comfortable, spacious and excellent value for money. It's about a 10 minute drive from Lagos old town. Definitely recommend renting a car if you're planning to stay here.

For relaxation, the hotel offers a sauna and a steam bath. Staff at Dom Manuel I Charming Residence can help organise horse riding and windsurfing. The room was comfortable, with a welcome drink, a balcony overlooking the pool and a great shower. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The breastfast was exceptional and varied everyday.

Decorated in warm chocolate and earthy tones, all spacious rooms feature wicker and suede furnishings. Fitted with terracotta flooring, each has a satellite TV.

Relaxation facilities at Vale d'El Rei Resort include a day spa with sauna and Turkish baths. The hotel activities team can arrange horse riding, mountain biking and fishing excursions. Nice quiet location, friendly staff and wonderful accommodation. I highly recommend for couples or families looking for somewhere away from the busy areas. Bonus was a delicious bottle of sparkling wine from the hotel. It made the welcome and my first time in Portugal that much more special.
