Octant Douro is set in the southern margin of the Douro River, km 41 of the N222 road. It is 10 km from the centre of Castelo de Paiva, 40 km from Porto, 60 km from Porto International Airport and 160 km from the Spanish border. Never have had a more luxurious stay and experience in the hotel. The infinity pools with a view straight on Douro River and valley are just breathtaking. The staff is super helpful and authentically friendly. Super looking forward to my next stay in one of the Octant hotels! There will definitely be a next time!

With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. The country house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This pace is beautiful. It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

The property was gorgeous, set on the side of a mountain. They treated us like family, going out of their way to make us comfortable. We hiked along the river on their property. So relaxing and beautiful.

An indoor play area is also available at Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness, while guests can also relax in the garden. We lived in the authentic house/villa which was outstanding. Near the villa, there were many historical cars – old Porsches, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz and others. We enjoyed the pool near the main building of vineyard with comfy sunbeds. The nearby little towns gave us very pleasant food experiences. Just ask the reception of the recommendations.

Guests can participate in the farm’s activities. Those looking for relaxation can use the hot tub overlooking the valley. Indulge yourself with the variety of therapies available at the Spa. There are events rooms available. Really lovely place in a beautiful, quiet location – perfect if you're looking to relax away from the crowds. The pool was a real highlight, and since there weren’t many guests around, even our little one could enjoy it fully – including the occasional jump in (which is probably not officially allowed 😅). We had a great time!
