The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was excellent and toiletries were first- class. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This is a gem of a hotel.

They were very professional, helpful, pleasant whether at the front office, the breakfast or else. They left many little attentions in the room that made the trip all the more special and we’d like to thank them all.

Staff were super helpful, suggesting best places to visit and to eat at. The environment of the hotel is so calming, you forget you're in the middle of a city. The room was perfect, spacious, and they provided us with everything we could need for our daughter, a high chair, cot, changing mat and even a baby bath. Everyone was so nice to her and accommodating. The heated pool was lovely to enjoy. Really such a luxurious stay and will definitely be staying here again, when we come to Porto. Metro is just round the corner but it is also walking distance to almost all attractions. Just a 25 mins walk to the river side and 15 mins walk to the famous bridge. Plenty of restaurants around as well.

Torel Avantgarde is set in Porto's centre, a 10-minute walk from the Douro riverside and 750 metres from the iconic Clérigos Church. We stayed in the maisonette during our stay and the room was great with an absolutely Incredible view you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. All of the staff were exceptional and incredibly friendly (Especially Thiago from maintenance!). We generally like to be left to ourselves and although further services were offered by the hotel, we really appreciated the privacy offered and the non-intrusive nature of everything during our stay, although any requests we did have were handled perfectly. The "Le Petit Prince" package for our baby they had in our room on arrival was an also really nice gesture. We've stayed at many nice hotels across Europe, but this has definitely been our favourite and we'll definitely be staying here on our next trip to Porto!

The staff was very nice and the hotel was beautifully decorated. The spa was a highlight of our hotel experience. Additionally, the location was great because it is close enough to the river to walk towards the center of the city, while being on the side of the city that has the best view of Porto.

Pro - Friendly staff, warm welcoming, super clean room, nice decoration for the room and common area. Very good quality amenity. Located rather uphill, very good for walking downhill into town.
