Everything was superb, everything felt very new and unused. The room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was amazing, attention to detail everything was fresh, staff attentive and very nice. Banska Stiavnica is cool little town. I took my Aussie husband there for a visit. Their wellness if fantastic, 4 saunas, pool and heated resting area. We had the whole wellness to ourselves and it was great. They also offer flavoured water and snack in wellness, which was nice little extra touch.

Though we prefer the more spacious, deluxe rooms, even the standard, value oriented room was fine for us. The A/C definitely helps in the summer time, especially in the attic. We loved the facility overall. The whole site is well kept. The swimming pool and spa is a very nice bonus for the price. The sauna only operates in the afternoon, though. Breakfast was included and we were well fed. :) We even used the restaurant a couple of times and no matter what we picked from the a la cart menu, everything was excellent. Unless you have a very, very good reason to stay directly in Banska Stiavnica, stay here instead. You'll thank me afterwards. :)
