The staff is extremely kind (especially Frederic, that cheered our dinner playing the piano!), and the room really big and cleaned. I had one of my best breakfast in my South Africa trip! Situated within the malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve, 9 km from Paterson, Shamwari Bayethe offers luxury tents with a private plunge pool. Home to the Big 5, the reserve features scenic views of the vast landscapes. The setting and the facilities were excellent. We used the Spa which perfectly complemented the Lodge. The rooms were spotlessly clean as were the rest of the facilities.

Kuzuko Lodge consist of 24 chalet of which 3 are fully wheelchair accessible. All facilities including the pool, spa, gym, conference room, restaurant, family lounge, curio shop and bar are accessible by wheelchair. Everything! Fantastic staff and food, great private reserve with really knowledgable guide, and very good conservation ideals.

Featuring mountain views, Barefoot Addo Elephant Lodge in Addo features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

A continental breakfast is available at Barefoot Addo Elephant Lodge. The elephants came to drink during breakfast. The bush walk and game drive was also amazing.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks are served at various indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is a fire pit where guests can enjoy a nightcap after dinner.

Guests may either book a Bed and Breakfast package or our Full Board Package which includes all meals and 1 outdoor activity per day (night stayed) on the reserve in an open game viewing vehicle, accompanied by a qualified game ranger. Outdoor activities include, game drives, giraffe walks, bush walks, bird watching and star gazing experiences. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and sundowner drinks are offered at sunset. This was an excellent experience. Accommodations, food and resort staff were excellent. Property was amazing, and animals were the stars.

The spa offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments. Other facilities at River Bend Lodge include a shared lounge, a library and an outdoor pool with sun loungers. We stayed at Lodge for 3 nights at the end of November, chosing the "All Inclusive" package. It was the best adventure and the best place we stayed during our trip through South Africa. Leo, our tour guide, has showed, explained and I jetted into us the wholesome approach to safari. You could feel like a carefree child that went on adventure to discover. We wish every tour guide could show to its guests such an excepcional respect towards the animals. Leo transforms such kindness, that at the end of the day you feel extremely rewarded by seeing every little living on safari, inuding birds, elephants, monkeys - all living wild and free. In the breaks, we could learn so much by having just a casual conversation with him. We really felt like being invited to magnificent kingdom of the animals, without feeling like some random intruders. A beating heart of this place is Debbie: what an outstanding manger. You "don't see her, don't hear her", but she is there and she keeps and eye on everything, ensuring such a comfortable stay for the guests. Debbie just transmits calmness, kindness, warmth, and professionalism. It was a real pleasure know her. The amazing Crew of the Lodge gives you a total family vibe. They winked an eye at us every time they left us a nice surprise in the form of flower petals or chocolates. Everything from warm towels to wipe our hands, through tasty meals (delicious soups!), was full of kindness and joy of hosting us. From warm welcome to a family-like farewell (followed by messages to check our further progress on the road) - everything was such a beautiful sign of being human that I came back completely refreshed. Enjoy every second of staying at the Lodge. Go out on adventure. Admire the nature with the respect and curiosity of an explorer. Feel fresh air on your face. Eat boldly and healthily. Relax in silence. Enjoy the polite, interesting conversations with wonderful people.

Free private parking is available on site. and free WiFi is available at the main dining area and at the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful, special shout out to Albert, nothing was too much for him, thank you for a wonderful weekend. The pool was blue and just the right temperature, the nature all around Avoca is therapeutic and good for anyone looking for long strolls. We also met people from other countries, which was cool. Highly recommend!

Rooms at the Zuurberg Mountain Village combine safari-style with classic décor, offering natural furnishings. All rooms include a private patio and a panoramic deck and some have a deluxe bathroom. Lovely surroundings friendly helpful staff. Felt at home. Food was fantastic. We had Sunday lunch and breakfast on Monday. Outstanding. Will definitely be back .
