The spacious rooms and suites are individually decorated and filled with light. Some rooms have fireplaces and offer scenic views. The elegant bathrooms have floor heating and heated towel rails.

Surrounded by native plants, many scenic hikes and cycle routes are available. Guests can also relax in the entertainment area. Just perfect! Just out in the bush everything was clean and comfortable. The most friendly staff and a good kitchen. Great hiking possibilities as well to enjoy nature. They are building a new restaurant and will turn parts of the old restaurant/bar into rooms. Just hope they keep some parts of the current restaurant for a drink since it has the most beautiful views!

Garden Route Game Lodge is located near Albertinia, overlooking the Langeberg Mountain Range. It is surrounded by lush vegetation and various animals can often be seen. It features a pool and a restaurant.

Guests can experience game viewing tours organized by the Lodge. The sun loungers by the pool allow guests to have a relaxing sun bath. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in public areas. We have been on multiple safaris throughout 12 years in both Eastern and Western Cape. This one was by far the best value. We have never seen a Cheetah that close. Our ranger Tim was exceptional and the restaurant had the best food. The villa was gorgeous and clean. The swimming pools as well. We will be back!

Offering unique forest views from above the treetops, this estate is just 10 km from Plettenberg Bay. Tsala Treetop accommodation has stylish interiors with 24 hour room service and free Wi-Fi throughout. Like a dream come true. Starting from the warm welcome from staff (Patience and Lloyd) to the decadent breakfasts our stay was delightful. All views from the suite (number 2) were exceptional. The fire in the fireplace each night warmed us and our hearts. Great gift shop. Housekeeping was amazing. And the lighted walkway was enchanting.

It features a large infinity pool, spa offering a full treatment menu and includes game drives. The game reserve is home to different accommodation types ranging from safari rooms at the lodge to private villas. All rooms offer panoramic views of the surrounding bush and its wildlife.

• Children 2-3 years of age can participate in the Bokkie Drive after breakfast, or one can hire an exclusive-use vehicle, both at an additional cost. We loved the game drives - simply breathtaking. Staff is amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and very customer focused. Facilities are very good for a safari venue.

The Forest Spa includes a hot tub and sauna. Various natural treatments and massages can be enjoyed while relaxing with an outlook to the forest. A true hidden gem in the forest. Situated between the Outeniqua Mountains and the beaches of the Indian Ocean, in Mossel Bay, Botlierskop Private Game offers elegant accommodation. It features an outdoor pool, a sauna, and a tennis court.

Botlierskop offers activities such as guided game drives and horseback safaris. Botlierskop’s spa is situated on the riverbank, and offers professional massages. What a wonderful stay — but far too short. During our trip along the Garden Route, we absolutely wanted to do a game drive, so we booked one night here. But take our advice: one night here is simply not enough. To fully experience this place, you actually need at least two, maybe even three nights. Anyway, for anyone looking for a true safari experience in the western part of South Africa, there’s only one thing to say: Botlierskop is absolutely the right choice. Of course, it’s not Kruger — but hey, you know that in advance, and this reserve is clearly very well managed, and sustainably too. As for the accommodation: absolutely fantastic. Extremely spacious tented lodges with every imaginable comfort — and what views! We stayed in one of the lower lodges overlooking a pond where rhinos and buffaloes came to drink, just a few meters below us — truly breathtaking. The 3.5-hour game drive at sunset was educational and perfectly guided by Mel. The fact that we didn’t see lions didn’t matter at all — the rhinos, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, wildebeests, giraffes and zebras more than made up for it. Finally, the staff were friendly and discreet — what more could you ask for? We’ll definitely be back, next time with our children. Thank you!
