Located at the Paul Kruger Gate to the Kruger National Park, Kruger Gate Hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River. The food, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We loved that you can do safari drives in both the Kruger national park, which is huge, and the Sabi Sands that is more intimate and you can get a little closer to the animals. The staff make this place amazing, all so kind and accommodating. We loved our guide Percy who really went above and beyond on our drives, and Matt who was really accommodating, plus all other staff (too many to mention). The food was great, all meals. The tents are nicer than expected with really comfortable, large beds, air con and a good shower/bathroom. The pool area is also really nice and they are building a second. Overall really great value and the perfect safari experience. We hope to return again!

From the moment we arrived, our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She meticulously planned all our trips, making our time in the area absolutely hassle-free. Her personal touch truly made a difference, especially when she kindly lent me her own binoculars for our safari activities. This thoughtful gesture enhanced our experience tremendously. We also appreciated the convenience of the breakfast baskets, which allowed us to enjoy delicious meals even with our early starts. The Bohemian decor of the lodge added a unique charm to our stay, making it both cozy and visually appealing. The romantic dinner our host arranged was a highlight of our trip. The beautiful decoration and intimate setting created a memorable evening for us. To top it all off, the lodge's unique location allowed us to experience wildlife up close, as we had the amazing opportunity to encounter a duiker and even a giraffe right at the lodge! Additionally, the lodge's location is very close to Hoedspruit airport and many reserves, making it an ideal place to stay. On the last day of our stay, we had a luxurious breakfast at the lodge, adding a touch of elegance to our experience. Overall, the value for money at African Flair is exceptional. The attentive service and the host's dedication to planning everything for us made our stay truly special. Highly recommend this lodge if you search something more intimate. Food is amazing, the game drives are fun and rich, and everything is made for you to feel the best.
