The staff was extremely friendly, I sprained my ankle during my stay and they even remembered when I bumped in to them again later that week in town. As soon as we checked in, we were asked to select a scent for the duration of our stay - such a thoughtful and unique touch that made us feel like the experience at Babohi was going to be very personalised and very high-end. The accommodation was so incredibly opulent. Aside from the stunning decor, we could tell there were so many thoughtful touches in order to elevate the experience even further. The views of the reserve from the room were also unbelievable! The food and drink were outstanding. Each meal was thoughtfully curated and prepared as well as being incredibly tasty. We very much appreciated the service that went along with the meals too. The chefs and the staff are clearly very committed to providing the best possible experience for guests during meal times. Bravo! The game drives were the absolute highlight of our stay. Damian is an exceptional guide - he is not only very knowledgeable, but he has a clear passion for conservation, the wildlife and the ecosystem. Damian offered incredible insight into the wildlife and was also very persistent in uncovering where the wildlife may be hiding (especially as we were there while it was pouring with rain). No request was too much, and no question was too silly. Each drive was unique and we saw something different each time. Also, a big thank you to Damian for getting us out of the reserve in time for our international flight - the rain had caused some difficulty with the roads but we managed to get to Johannesburg in time. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was completely luxurious, seamless and memorable. The team is committed to excellence and we cannot thank them enough for such a fantastic stay. Other luxury hotels etc. could learn a thing or two from the Babohi team. If anyone asks for recommendations in South Africa, I will point them in this direction.

We thought we were only going to crash for a night after a long flight and before starting a safari the next day, but we were absolutely mind blown by how amazing everything was. Perfect location in the middle of what is called "Wildlife Estate" which gives you a chance to see wild animals strolling nearby (we almost saw all the same animals we saw on the safari strolling around the lodge), this is an astounding place with a beautiful room which makes you feel you're in a dream! Last but not least - Ruan and Jenny were very friendly and informative on things to do, and even gave us recommendations about Cape Town which was our next stop. For a small fee, we pre-arranged dinner (which was delicious and cooked by one of their chefs) and transfer from the Hoedspruit airport as well. Communication was easy and Ruan was very responsive. It was such a shame that we only spent one night - had we known how calm and beautiful it all was, we would have 100% extended our stay. So sad to have left but I rave about it. There couldn't have been a more perfect welcome to South Africa.

The room is very comfortable and well decorated with attention at any detail. The staff is memorable, they prepared a dinner for the day we arrived served in the room, even though it was very late. I had a very special birthday, with a table setting with balloons and a kind card in addition to a cake served after the dinner. The food is outstanding, the chef deserves a 3 stars Michelin! The staff arranged all the Game Drivers, Kruger Day and Nature Drive (with a bottle of sparkling wine :) ) to us when we could learn a lot about wildlife. Having many animals in our backyards were speechless. To wait for our flight, they prepared a package with some snacks and water for us, so kind... I would like to thank so much for all the staff, specially Crystal, Melinda, Luis (the Chef), Rowen, John (who is not John :D), Jackie and Saskia. Team, YOU ROCK! I will certainly be back!
