We had the most wonderful stay only 30 mins from the gate to Kruger national park and surrounded by private reserves. We absolutely loved everything about this place. The lodge is tastefully decorated and the landscape is beautifully maintained. The staff were amazing, from the gatekeeper to the reception and restaurant teams, always eager to help and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was also a pleasure to meet the owner, Tommy, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He assisted us with planning private game drives and gave us great tips for our self-drive safari adventures. The breakfast box was extremely generous, very well packed and perfectly organised. It didn’t only include breakfast, but also more than enough food to enjoy a picnic lunch in Kruger. Overall, our stay exceeded all expectations, and we can only say thank you to everyone at Sunbird Oasis Lodge.

Everything about it is special-the attention to detail, gorgeous artwork, super comfortable bed and linens, fabulous soaking tub, gorgeous grounds and pool. The owner, Alet, was amazing. From the moment she greeted us with welcome drinks she was the consummate host. She arranged an incredible and romantic private dinner by the pool one evening, had great suggestions and went above and beyond to help us find reservations for Kruger when we were leaving. And her breakfasts were fantastic! Incredible food and beautifully presented. I couldn’t recommend it more!

The property is so beautiful and sets in peaceful preserve where giraffe, zebra, kudu, porcupine & wart hogs roam freely yet very close to the town of Hoedspruit where you fly into. The meals were most delicious. If you are in a hurry, tell them.. because meal times are designed for an “experience” so embrace the charm. We tried eating out in town and also had a breakfast during one of our excursions and felt cheated by not getting to dine at Safari Moon. Gourmet breakfast is included and the dinners have several choices & are more than worth adding to your stay…..the genuine gift of hospitality exudes from everyone working there almost feeling like family & treating guests like royalty .

A very Intimate place catering to once's individual needs. Food was great

Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. Where the place is suitated is a peaceful safari, it brings soo much serenity and that's exactly what I anticipated about place when making my booking. The private chef at the Villa did an amazing job, every meal be it breakfast and dinner was exceptional......the host at the villa exceeded our expectations with how well he took care of us during our stay, indeed we truly had a wonderful time there.
