Hosts were very kind and helpful with a lot of info about the town and history. Breakfast was great and enough. The room was great. In fact, all facility seems to be from the Elizabethan era. Location was 5-10 minutes walking from the city center.

I have booked many guesthouses in the last 10 years but this was the best place I have ever lived. Ginette is the best host and a very kind women. She is an artist of breakfast! We will miss her. The breakfast is like at a 5-star hotel. In the evening, when we came tired from the city, she wait us with a surprise: ice cream or sangria. Where does this happen? If you have food left over from breakfast (and you definitely do), she discreetly puts 2 bags in the bread basket for you to take it away. The area where the guesthouse is located is very quiet and the yard of the house is gorgeous. Just look at the pictures, the yard looks exactly like this. I would gladly return to this wonderful place anytime. Kisses and hugs for Ginette!

Monsieur Maurice was an amazing place to stayed. Receptionists were really nice, the place is calm and easy going. The breakfast is way too good, thanks for all the details. This place is perfect to hang around and be confortable while touring.

The location in the city center couldn't be better. A parking garage is available 200 meters away. We were given a beautiful room with a romantic canal view. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The staff was exceptionally friendly. On the day of our arrival, we had dinner in the restaurant, which was perfect in every way: delicious food, a lovely ambiance, and very pleasant service. The breakfast selection isn't outstanding, but it's perfectly adequate. On the day of our departure, we returned to the restaurant for lunch. They served delicious fresh oysters. We highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant and would definitely return. The value for money is very good.

    This is such a lovely place to stay. The location is a few miles from the nearby small town. Kathleen made us so welcome. Such a lovely lady. The ground floor room was perfect for my 91 year old staying with us. Very disabled friendly. A rare gem. Breakfast was well.. just delicious.. Fresh perfect boiled eggs! All better than home!! Could have relaxed and stayed a few days. I want to go back 😊
