The staff were extremely helpful. We don’t speak Portuguese but they helped via translation apps to make sure we had everything we needed. The two tours they recommended and booked for us were fantastic. The hotel down the road where breakfast is served (and you could have a beer and watch the sunset) had a great view of the river.

The owner was super helpful and accommodating with our requests. She also provided lots of great tips for what to do and what agencies to contract for the tours in the area. She is without any doubt the highlight of of our stay.

The hosts did everything for us to feel comfortable: we bought fruits and we could use the fridge. In the first day, we didn't book a trip and they were trying to arrange one for us. Even when we were missed by a day trip, they contacted tourist offices there. We had a car booked to go to Sao Luis, and we were allowed to use the common area places until it arrived even though it was after check-out time.
