A superb hotel well situated in a small village, but with easy access to Guilin city. Located in a quiet, peaceful setting, the village has many facilities and you can easily walk to the neighbouring villages following the nature trail, with no cars to worry about. Delicious food is available at nearby restaurants, all within a short walking distance of the hotel. The staff are fantastic; really helpful & lovely people. They provided us with many ideas for days out exploring the local area. The breakfast is delicious & hotel facilities are excellent. The hotel staff kept our luggage safe, for free, while we went off for a few days to explore other parts of China. Everything about this hotel is exceptional.

It was quiet. Close to the main shopping and riverfront. Good people and the host was kind and offered helpful suggestions and arranged an airport pickup. Definitely recommend to all those visiting or looking for a place to live in Guilin.

The hotel vibes are relaxing and comfortable, the view of my room is beautiful! The facilities are clean and well-maintained and I had an enjoyable night here. Its location is near the city center so it is very convenient to travel to different tourist attractions in Guilin. The owner of this hotel is very kind and she takes care of my needs. Her garden is gorgeous and I like it so much, strongly recommend you guys to visit it if you will come to this hotel. I will choose Camphor Country House again when I visit Guilin next time, and I will book few more days :)

The hotel is located within a walking distance to the Guilin Railway station and most of the attractions in the city. The beds were very comfortable, room clean. Staff speak English and was very helpful with booking all attractions, taxis etc. Very good breakfast. You get great quality for low price. So far, one of the best places we have stayed in China. Highly recommended!

Everything about this place was fantastic. The location is ideal: close to transit and major sights, and the value for money is unbeatable. A huge thanks to Joe, the host, who made the trip unforgettable. His genuine kindness, local expertise, and enthusiasm were next-level. He suggested hidden sunset spots, top-notch restaurants, and sorted out transport effortlessly. His passion for helping guests shines through, and by the end, it felt like staying with a friend, not just a host. If you want a welcoming, affordable, and well-located spot, Cyan Box (and Joe!) is the answer. Don’t miss it! Highly recommended!

    The staff was pretty nice and had a great service. They helped us with booking the taxis and activities. The location of the inn was not really close to the city center but the food near the inn was great.

    Excellent customer service and coffee is the best around town! Great convenient location to Elephant trunk hill, walkable distance to the touristy city center where the walking street is. Lotsa eataries around the hotel n convenient store is just across the street.
