The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly and most speak English. The facility is located right on the river. The food, both western and traditional are both very good. There are plenty of daily activities available at the front desk that can be organized.

The Giggling Tree was just perfect! It is an amazing hotel - friendly and welcoming, lovely room with amazing views, wonderful staff and restaurant. Laura was simply brilliant and made some great food recommendations. Eating in the quaint courtyard restaurant area was perfect, especially the Beer fish from the Lijiang River! Great dumplings too! And the pool was a nice bonus with fantastic views. Good bicycles to rent and trips/taxis can be organised. We'd love to return again one day - the scenery is simply unforgettable! Thank you Laura! We were initially surprised that it was not too close to the city, but we actually loved the location and felt immersed in nature with this spectacular view of the mountains. Being in the city would not have been the same. I am still dreaming about the view and the nearby village! The staff was so helpful and welcoming! Our host was fluent in English which made our trip arrangement easier. The food was really nice for the price! We will definitely be back!

When I discovered this hotel, I was completely stunned. As I woke up in the mountains, it felt like I was in a fairyland. I highly recommend this hotel. The owner is very friendly. Right next to it is the place for rock climbing in Yangshuo. I strongly recommend this hotel.

An Unforgettable Stay I cannot recommend this place enough! This lodge is definitely a true hidden gem. It’s conveniently located at the heart of Yangshuo’s downtown, closed to the famous shopping street, Xijie Street, and all other famous attractions. The rooms are beautifully designed in modern comforts, spacious, and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and most stunning thing is “there is an elevator!!” inside the lodge. We did not have to walk all to way up to 6th floor. We just had more than we expected and needed for a perfect stay. The host is a lovely couple and they are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. They are also professional tour guides and help planned our itinerary to explore and experience the Yangshuo local attractions. They made us feel like part of the local family and complete our travel effortless. All in all, this lodge is absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a decent retreat with exceptional services and a genuine local experience, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be returning!!
