Muchas gracias to the owners from Hotel Casa Carlota. The Hotel is near from Tamarindo, but you may be need a car to go there. For us it was perfect far away from the trouble. But its close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and we had enough space. You also have a fridge and a coffeemachine. We used the kitchen outdoor in the cooking area for the breakfast. There‘s also a swimmingpool, which was cleaned everyday. The owners are very friendly and they also give us good suggestions. The staff were really friendly and kind, and kept our luggage while we went to the beach. Breakfast was delicious and location was great. Room was comfortable. The setting of the hotel is also nice and lush with lots of trees.

Best Hostel I've ever been!!! Everything is great, the rooms are comfy, the bathrooms are clean and tidy. The kitchen is very complete, they even have free coffee, sugar, salt and oil! The staff is very cool and helpfull with anything you need, Kelly the manager is the best, she wants the best for You and your trip. Great location just 200 meters from the centre of the town, close to all night clubs and food places! I Will come back for sure. :)))

We had such a positive experience at Villas Macondo. From the very beginning of booking, their communications were clear. Upon arrival early in the morning, Susan was so welcoming, showing us around the property and let us check in early. The lush landscaping was like an oasis in busy Tamarindo, but still a short walk to the main "drag" or street and to the beach. I loved our hammock on our room deck with cafe chairs where we can hang out and relax during the HOT midday time. The room was large, with high ceilings and bathroom also huge and clean. The shared kitchen was convenient where we made breakfast, with complimentary coffee machine and can store any leftovers. After checking out, we hung out at the pool for a little longer, which Susan again encouraged us to do, and we were able to see a family of howling monkeys in the trees above. All in all, we had a magical stay in Tamarindo and Villas Macondo was a lovely home base. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Wonderful small and calm hotel with a beautiful pool surrounded by mango and palm trees. The staff and the owner were very nice and friendly, always helpful. We felt like home. Perfect location, walkable to any place in Tamarindo. We could even see monkeys from our rooms. I can only recommend Hotel Pasatiempo and will for sure come back.
