exceptionally friendly and helpful staff!! very respectful and helpful, loved the staff!! they informed me about the sauna to be free and I had a most relaxing time there during my one night stay during my business trip. the top floor bedroom was with very charming wood beams throughout the room...which I saw on photos and was hoping to have as I love that architectural style, very warm and cosy ambience! breakfast buffet had a healthy mix, all wonderful and fresh!

This is the most Dog friendly hotel we know in Europe. Other hotels allow dogs but not in bars or restaurants. The Engel positively encourages well behaved dogs and they can accompany you to Dinner and Breakfast. The staff are friendly and accommodating. This is our sixth stay and we will stay again all being well

I love the location, the room was perfect! We had a great view of the Ulmer Munster, it was clean and quiet, perfect place for our 3 year old. We were unlucky to have booked at a terrible accommodation nearby in advance, we had to leave that place pretty soon after arriving, so we were lucky this hotel was available at so short notice. The service was excellent!
