Three-Star Hotels in Kintamani

The view was extremely magnificent!

We stayed at this place for two nights in June, and honestly, I hesitated for a long time before booking it, because I had read so many negative reviews. Now I’d like to share my own experience and respond to some of those concerns. 1. Location: Some people said the road to the hotel was terrible and even scary. Here’s what I can say: we had a private driver, not a regular taxi, and the road was asphalted almost the entire way. Even in the rain, it was totally fine. Yes, the last 5 minutes have some steep turns, but nothing extreme — any local driver will manage it easily. And here’s something no one mentioned (but absolutely should have): the hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the main road, where you’ll find supermarkets, cafes, or can just go for a walk. They will drop you off and pick you up whenever it’s convenient for you. That’s an amazing service, and I was really surprised no one had written about it. 2. Insects: Yes, there are insects. But you’re literally in the mountains, surrounded by greenery — what do you expect? That said, small flies (especially during the day) can be annoying, so I highly recommend bringing an insect repellent spray — it’s a must. Also, bring something against mosquitoes. Just keep the windows and curtains closed after sunset, and you’ll be fine. 3. Kitchen: The kitchen was great — you really have everything you need to cook, and we actually did. The hotel provides basic ingredients like oil, jam, bread, eggs, instant noodles, a few sauces, etc. Plus, the store is only 5 minutes away by car, so you can get anything else you need. 4. Shower and Bath: It’s true — you won’t be able to take long, luxurious showers or fill up the bathtub quickly. But there’s enough hot water for a normal shower, and to be honest, I never really felt like using the bathtub anyway. In most places in Indonesia, bathtubs take a while to fill — it’s not unusual. 5.

Magnificent sunrise view of Mount Batur every morning made us skip the sunrise jeep tour. You won't get that anywhere else. The staff was super friendly. Delicious breakfast with coffee and fresh fruits served every morning to the room. The cabins are located on the hill so there are few steps to climb up and down but it was okay (staff is helping with the bags etc). I recommend contacting the local guide to arrange pickup/drop-off. From Denpasar it costs 700.000 IRD, full-day trips similar price. The drivers were convenient and helpful. If you're into coffee - go visit Bali Beans coffee plantation, they do awesome tours (the guide didn't want to take us there as they have their "preferred" spots).

The location was amazing the best most stunning view ever, the room was lovely and very spacious but even more so the staff were so lovely and had the best hospitality. My partner and I had ran out of cash and wanted to go to an atm and then go to a cafe for breakfast however there are very limited grab vehicles available, the owner (lovely old man) had offered us a ride to the atm and to the cafe as well and even left someone with us to wait for us until we were done so we would have a ride home. He also offers his own jeep tours up to Mt Batur to watch the sunrise if I knew that would’ve booked through him.

We stayed 2 nights in the structure and from the beginning the staff proved to be competent and accepted our every request. Erick's commitment he puts into his work is added value. I hope I can come back

We stayed two nights and had two rooms. I think a lot of the reviews here are unfair. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere so expect isolation, and it’s not the city so expect bugs. You are in Bali and Kintamani is not canggu or Kuta so expect a language barrier. However this little hotel for the amount you pay is great. They met us in town and changed over our bags to their car to help us find the hotel. The views alone are priceless. Looking out over the volcanos, the lake and the lava field each room has an epic view. There was a lack of plug sockets however we had an adapter and coped with the one socket we had. Not sure if there was WiFi or not but if you can’t cope without WiFi for a couple of nights that’s a you problem and not the hotels. As for the staff, they went above and beyond, we had to use google translate a few times but they ferried us around, helped us with laundry and went to the shops for us on more than one occasion. There is no AC but we stayed in July and the fan was suffice. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. A few little touches here and there (like a kettle & fridge and chairs outside your room) and this place would be perfect.

We stayed here with a group of friends and rented 4 cottages. Everything was absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by greenery. The staff were always friendly and smiling, which made the experience even better. We tried all the breakfast options and each one was delicious and clearly made with care. A special highlight was the hot spring where we ended up spending half the evening just relaxing and chatting. And the beds and pillows deserve a mention of their own — we all joked that it felt like sleeping in a cloud. So soft and cozy, it was impossible not to get a great night’s sleep. This is a place you’d happily recommend and definitely want to return to.
