Beautiful rural location in the Melagh Valley on an elevated site 8 km from Bantry. A couple of stone circles are nearby, in Kealkill 1.5 kms away, and the roads are quiet enough to walk. The house was to the rear of our host's home in an immaculately landscaped garden which was great for our dog Charlie. Claire and Eugene were very welcoming with practical suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Highlights included navigating the Tim Healey Pass while touring the rugged Beara peninsula, dinner in the Gougane Barra Hotel overlooking St Finbarr's Ossory and lakes, and dinner in Blairs Cove House!
